Winter Pruning Work
In Ohio, landscaping duties slow down in the winter months, but it’s important not to let things come to a complete halt. Seiler’s does winter pruning services in December, January and February to make sure your dormant trees and shrubs are still looking their best, even in the cold.
Spring Cleaning and New Beginnings
Spring and fall are two seasons where there is a lot of preparation to be done for the following season. In the spring, flowers, plants and trees are beginning to bloom and grow so they can shine through the summer. Because of this, the soil needs to be prepared for new plants to thrive. Our all-season landscaping package includes spreading a stabilized granular fertilizer and pre-emergent combo in early spring. Spring clean up includes getting rid of dead and rotten leaves, branches and foliage, pruning trees and perennials and much more. Our mowing services begin in April.
Summer Shrub Care and More
Mowing is of course a major part of landscape maintenance, so we offer it all through the summer months as part of all-season landscaping. Perennial care begins in June and extends through the summer, which is also when we start planting summer annuals like sunpatiens and begonias. Perennial care includes maintaining all plants that live typically more than two years. We apply a granular fertilizer in lawn areas in the summer as well.
Fall Clean Up and Preparation
Fall is the time to prepare for harsh winter weather. Our fall clean up includes cleaning, eliminating fallen, dead leaves and cleaning out debris from flower beds. We know fallen leaves can be a big hassle, especially if you have a lot of trees in your yard. Our leaf management program keeps your property looking clean throughout the fall season, allowing you to take your weekends back. We plant fall annuals like mums and pansies in September and October. Fall is also the time to aerate your yard, so we also provide core aeration and over-seeding services in October.
