Creating a resort-style pool oasis in your backyard, mirroring a vacation spot you've only visited once, is no small feat. However, the Dupps family remained confident that with the right team overseeing their project, they could turn their luxurious vision into reality.
To help create their dream pool, the Dupps looked for a well-established and reputable Cincinnati landscape designer. At Seiler’s Landscaping, we’re well-known for design, hardscaping and landscaping, and we were thrilled to be brought in at the very beginning of this backyard pool project.
Beginning the Design
The goal of the pool project was to evoke a private and upscale resort ambiance right in the Dupps’ backyard. The homeowners wanted their outdoor space to be a seamless extension of their home, creating a welcoming sanctuary where people could relax and socialize in style and comfort.
Accustomed to staying at five-star hotels during vacations, the Dupps family aspired to replicate that luxurious ambiance in their own home. When discussing the details of the project with Seiler’s designer, they had a clear vision of what they wanted. They explored various plantings with a range of colors that complemented the area, including Spring Grove, Green giant and large Zelkova trees. Privacy was a top priority, so they aimed to incorporate an abundance of trees to screen views from neighbors and the street.
The collaboration between the homeowners and our Seiler's design team was close and productive. Together, we refined the plans meticulously to ensure every detail aligned with the Dupps' vision. Additionally, the design team offered valuable suggestions that had not been part of the homeowners' original plans, ultimately enriching the overall space. The team proposed adding pool decking and a pool house to elevate the landscape's aesthetic appeal, both of which were integrated successfully.

Custom Lighting to Create An Inviting Ambiance
As part of this project, our team also installed custom lighting. Adding lighting enhances the atmosphere, giving the backyard a resort-like feel. The warm and inviting glow from the lights, combined with the carefully designed landscape, completes the transformation from vision to reality.

The Dupp family was pleased with the final outcome of their pool area and positive working relationship with Seiler’s team. Visitors have been wowed with the redesigned outdoor space and its upscale feel.
