Employee Spotlight: Noah Katz

Learn how Noah Katz, our construction foreman, was made for the outdoors.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Noah grew up in Kennedy Heights and moved to Sycamore when he was in the 7th grade. Landscaping has always been a part of his life. He was only five years old when he started doing landscape work with his dad who owned a landscaping company.

After high school, Noah didn’t waste any time before jumping into the workforce. Although he worked as a chef for a year, he quickly realized he “had to get back to the dirt,” he says. He began working for Seiler’s after the landscaping company he previously worked for was bought out. He saw a sign for Seiler’s Landscaping and remembered he knew Will Seiler from “back in the day” and his dad was friends with Jim Seiler. He has now been working for Seiler’s for five years.

At Seiler’s you can find Noah present at almost every Seiler’s construction site. He often works with heavy machinery like excavators and on many of our company’s high-end jobs. Noah says his favorite part about working with Seiler’s and in landscaping is “driving around the town I grew up in and seeing walls I built and trees I planted still standing. It’s cool to see them still going strong.”

Noah still loves to cook. He enjoys cooking with and for his family, specifically his two daughters Kalista (12) and Zara (8). He also enjoys camping and hiking. It’s safe to say he’s a true outdoorsman!
