Many homeowners in Cincinnati are looking at their backyards and imagining something bigger and better. The Mihins’ home had a small deck that just didn’t fit with their lifestyle. They found Seiler’s Landscaping as they searched for a professional paver patio construction team.

At Seiler’s we love when clients become friends and this project quickly became one of our favorites. The Mihins were looking to replace their deck with a patio, surround it with plantings and add welcoming outdoor lighting. The project grew to include a pergola structure, too. The architectural drawings for their backyard makeover were finalized in the winter of 2019.

Due to a long permitting process for Symmes Township, the Seiler’s team was cleared to break ground in April, 2021. We demolished the entire deck and completed paver patio construction using Beacon Hill pavers from Unilock. The pergola structure included mason stone columns and a built-in masonry fireplace. This stunning focal point creates the perfect cozy outdoor living space that the Mihins can take advantage of year ‘round.

Our full landscape design included plant life that thrives in our Cincinnati climate. We planted beautiful bushes, shrubs and trees to add color and life to the stone structure and brick home.

The Mihins enjoy spending evenings around the fireplace with their family and friends. The mature landscape and LED lighting makes them feel safe and cozy. We celebrated the completed project with a bourbon toast as our professional relationship with the Mihins had turned into a friendship.
