Employee Spotlight: Dave Dew

Our Construction Foreman and New Employee Training Director, Dave Dew, is a true veteran of the landscaping industry. Having been in the industry 42 years, 18 of them with Seiler’s, Dave knows his way around the business.

A Northern Kentucky native, Dave says he’s been an environmentalist since he was just 12 years old, but didn’t become interested in the landscaping business until 18. While working the night shift at UPS, a coworker of Dave’s was working on a horticulture degree and offered Dave a job. He hasn’t looked back since.

Dave’s deep knowledge and experience in the industry serves him every day as he trains our new hires. Dave enjoys showing the new recruits, “how things go and how hard you have to work on a regular basis to maintain a standard of excellence.” While he occasionally builds walls and patios, Dave’s favorite part of his job is handling the plantings. He has planted nearly 20,000 trees in his life, a major way he contributes to the sustainability of the planet.

Dave’s love for nature and the environment extends beyond his career. In his free time he enjoys backpacking and kayaking in the Kentucky rivers and in national parks, his favorite being Yellowstone.

With an expert like Dave on our team, our customers are never disappointed by the creativity and care that goes into our projects. Take advantage of the experience and knowledge Dave and our team have to offer and contact us today to discuss your goals for your landscape.
